Jaipur, A 33-year-old sales manager allegedly died by suicide at his rented flat in Jaipur's Vishwakarma area, following which police registered a case of abetment of suicide against his wife, in-laws and brother-in-law, officials said on Friday.
The case was registered on a complaint by the deceased's brother, Jitin Kumar, Vishwakarma SHO Ravindra Singh said.
Jitin, a resident of Sadulshahar in Sri Ganganagar district, had been living in a rented flat in Malhotra Nagar for around eight months and worked as a sales manager at a factory in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area, police said.
According to the police, Jitin allegedly died by suicide on August 1 by hanging himself at his flat.
The door was locked from inside with no response, following which police team were informed. Police forced open the door and found Jitin hanging inside, the SHO said.
The police, with the assistance of a forensic team, collected evidence from the spot. The body was sent for post-mortem examination at Kanwatiya Hospital and later handed over to the family.

In his complaint, Jitin's brother Parsh Gillhotra alleged that his brother had been subjected to taunts over his complexion by his in-laws soon after marriage and was pressured to live separately from his parents.
He further alleged that Jitin's wife had taken their daughter to her parental home and demanded ₹20 lakh or a house in return for allowing him to speak to the child.
The family also alleged that a false case had been filed against them.
Police said a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
