Rajasthan: Man, daughter killed in bike-car collision in Bharatpur

The accident took place near Pathena village on Bharatpur-Alwar road when a speeding car hit their motorcycle; the driver fled abandoning the car.

A man and his daughter were killed, while his wife sustained severe injuries after their motorcycle collided with a car in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, the police said on Thursday.

The accident took place on Wednesday evening under Kherli Modi police station limits.

Mukesh Singh (40), a native of Lakhanpur village, his wife Mukut Devi (38) and their 18-year-old daughter were going to his in-laws’ village in Garu in Alwar district by motorcycle.

The accident took place near Pathena village on Bharatpur-Alwar road when a speeding car hit their motorcycle; the driver fled abandoning the car.

The police rushed all injured to district Raj Bahadur Memorial hospital but Singh and his daughter were declared dead on arrival. His wife is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The police handed over the bodies to their family members after postmortem analysis on Thursday.

Jitendra Kumar, assistant sub inspector of Kherli Mode police station, said the police have registered a complaint against the car driver and impounded the vehicle.
