Uttar Pradesh’s Republic Day tableau will be themed on Bundelkhand, showcasing the region’s rich cultural heritage, valour, folk traditions and diversity, UP tourism and culture minister Jaiveer Singh said on Sunday.
The tableau will highlight Bundelkhand’s architectural and cultural identity through iconic forts such as Kalinjar, Jhansi, Orchha, Charkhari and Mahoba, symbolising courage, heritage and regional artistry.
It will also present the region’s ancient architecture, folk art, traditions and lifestyle, along with historical symbols of bravery that define Bundelkhand as a land of valour and self-respect.
By showcasing forts and palaces, the tableau aims to underline Bundelkhand’s tourism potential as an emerging destination for domestic and international visitors.
The Republic Day procession will feature glimpses of Bundelkhand’s folk culture, with Bundeli dancers performing in traditional attire, adding colour and vibrancy.
Jaiveer Singh said the tableau would not only be a cultural presentation but also a celebration of Bundelkhand’s valorous legacy, helping establish the region as a major tourist attraction.
