Pune: A dispute over ₹20 turned violent in Pimpri-Chinchwad when a man allegedly stabbed his friend in the neck with a knife outside Lucky Country Bar on Thursday. The injured is in a serious condition, said police officials on Friday, adding that the accused was later arrested from Latur.
According to the police, the incident occurred in Pimprigaon during the night when Ravindra Dnyaneshwar Gaikwad got into an argument with his acquaintance Satyajit alias “Sonya” Kamble over a money dispute. Tempers flared, and Kamble allegedly stabbed Gaikwad in the neck and throat during the confrontation.
The injured was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment in serious condition.
After the attack, the accused fled the scene and was arrested from Latur.
