PMC postpones junior engineer exam for a second time due to unavoidable reasons

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has postponed the junior engineer examination a second time without giving any valid reason.

The PMC deputy commissioner on Friday issued a press statement and said, “The junior engineer examination got postponed due to unavoidable reasons. The PMC will announce the date for the examination very soon.”

A total of 41,273 candidates applied for the junior engineer posts in the PMC, which was to be held on January 25 across 69 centres in Maharashtra.

The PMC had advertised for169 vacancies. The examination was earlier scheduled for December 1, 2025, but was postponed following requests from candidates engaged in duties related to the municipal council elections held across the state. Acting on Election Commission guidelines, the civic body deferred the test to January 25.
