“Parents must ensure that all required documents are uploaded at the time of submitting the application. Any discrepancy found during verification will lead to cancellation of admission,” he said. Under the RTE Act, children from economically weaker sections and socially disadvantaged groups are provided free education from Classes 1 to 8 in private schools. Only schools located within a 1km radius of the child’s residence will be visible on the RTE portal and parents will be able to select a maximum of 10 schools.
