Six vehicles set on fire after dispute in Pune housing society

A dispute between two individuals led to an arson incident in a housing society in the Dhanori area of Pune on Friday. According to police,the accused allegedly set fire to six vehicles parked in the parking area of a residential building. The incident caused property damage estimated at around 3 lakh, police said.

The incident occurred at Priyansh Apartment, Parandenagar. The accused Vishal Khalse, 19, was taken into custody by the police.

According to the police, the accused had an ongoing quarrel with the complainant. Following the dispute, the accused allegedly went to the parking area of the complainant’s residential building and set fire to six two-wheelers that were parked there.

Police officials said the act was carried out deliberately out of anger due to the ongoing dispute between the two individuals.

A case has been registered at Vishrantwadi police station under sections of 326(G) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
