Sunday came as a relief for the Delhi under-19 team as they won their third match against Haryana by 55 runs in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Delhi made four changes --- vice-captain Karan Rai, Tejaswi Yadav, Rishit Saini and Sahil Kher were rested for Anshul Gupta, Sunny Sehrawat, Jaideep Chauhan and Rohan Tuteja respectively.

Though the changes were made to bolster the batting, Delhi's bane so far, barring Sehrawat, none of the replacements were able to make a mark.

Batting first, Delhi lost openers Gupta (2) and Varun Sood (0) early. It was then left to skipper Yogesh Nagar (63), Manan Sharma (31) and Sehrawat (39) to revive the innings and post a somewhat respectable 185 in the allotted 50 overs.

For Haryana, Ashish Hooda (2 for 35) and Geetanshu (3 for 26) were the wreckers-in-chief.

Haryana began their chase in the same vein, losing openers Mukul Dagar (0) and Saket Nadal (0) in the opening overs.

Yatharth Tomar (55) waged a lone battle as Sehrawat (3 for 16) and Darshan Kajania (two for 25) ensured wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Haryana were skittled out for 130 and the result enabled Delhi to pick up a bonus point.

Brief score: Delhi 185 all out in 50 overs (Y. Nagar 63, S. Sehrawat 39; Geetanshu 3-26, A. Hooda 2-35) beat Haryana 130 all out in 50 (Y. Tomar 55, R. Paliwal 23*; Sehrawat 3-16)
