Ravi Sawani, the BCCI anti-corruption unit head, began the probe on May 15.

"He (Sawani) asked for an extension and I have given it to him. He will submit the report in a day or two," N Srinivasan, BCCI president, told HT on Tuesday.

Once Sawani's report on the players — T Sudhindra, Mohnish Mishra, Shalabh Srivastava, Abhinav Bali and Amit Yadav — is submitted to the BCCI chief, it will be forwarded to the board's disciplinary committee comprising Srinivasan, Arun Jaitley and Niranjan Shah.

The five cricketers were suspended a day after India TV showed a sting.
