Butt and fast bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were found guilty of corruption at an ICC tribunal in Doha after allegations they bowled no-balls at prearranged times during the fourth test against England in August.
The ICC tribunal's head Michael Beloff has recommended changes to the ICC code of conduct "with a view to providing flexibility in relation to minimum sentences in exceptional circumstances." Speaking on his return to Pakistan on Sunday, Butt said he does not agree with ICC's decision to ban him for 10 years with five years suspended.
