The court asked petitioner Verma to file a rejoinder on BCCI's reply to a PIL wherein amendments to regulation 6.2.4 of Regulation for Players, Team Officials, Managers, Umpires and Administrators was challenged. Meanwhile, the Indian cricket board has also sought time to file its reply on another PIL through which the petitioner has sought appointment of independent governance review committee to review rules and regulations of the BCCI.

Both the PILs will be heard on March 24 by the division bench comprising Justices SJ Vazifdar and BP Colabawala.

Challenging amendment to regulation 6.2.4 of Regulation for Players, Team Officials, Managers, Umpires and Administrators, Verma contended that the move excluded events like IPL or Champions League from its ambit thus allowing Srinivasan to own an IPL team.

"The High Court has asked us and the BCCI to come up with our respective replies and fixed March 24 as the next date of hearing," Verma told HT.
