Mahendra Singh Dhoni wants people to wait before passing any judgement on his captaincy. "I got a chance to lead the side and I am happy with the result, but people should wait and see how I perform over a longer period of time before giving the verdict on my captaincy," he said.
Dhoni, who has won both the Tests he led the side in, denied that their aggressive approach saw the players crossing the line a few times during the match.
"A bit of talking brings excitement to the game and if the other team is doing it, we will certainly not take it lying down. As for crossing the line, I think the on-field umpires and match referees are there to take care of it," said Dhoni.
Asked whether fighting fire with fire is the way to beat the Aussies, the skipper said if it could win matches, we would have hired people for that. "The only way to beat them is to play good cricket and we did just that," he said.

The win was a team effort where everyone chipped in at the crucial moments. I have not seen Australians so defensive in the approach. "We went in with four bowlers and they delivered the goods for us. There was no need for others to come and take up one end. Ishant, Zaheer, Mishra and Bhajji were excellent," he said.
