Nixon, who has played 19 ODIs and one T20, took to social networking site Twitter while the match was on, to openly state that he feels the encounter at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium was rigged.

“Pakistan throwing this game away eh ! #thereisasurprise 24 from 24 ... Strangely my money is on India $$$$ from here ... Watch this space. Pakistan will just loose last few balls ... #usualstory #dodgey,” he tweeted during the last few overs of the match.

His interactions with his fans on the website were also very suggestive . “r u watching the game???” (sic) he retweeted when one of his followers asked him whether he was hinting at fixing.

Some of his tweets include, “this game is a joke especially when u see hafeez play a lap sweep with a leg slip in place” and “It must be India’s 12th Man.....the Bookmaker!” and “not every ga-me Dave just at the right time ..2-0 up perfect to loose nothing matters !!!!” while replying to a tweet.
