The captaincy skills of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is leading the Indian team with guts and gumption at the Twenty20 World Cup, have earned him an admirer - India's most successful skipper Sourav Ganguly.
Dhoni and his young team got some special praise from Ganguly, who said the team was playing like a unit.
"Dhoni is doing well, he is taking good decisions," Ganguly said while interacting with reporters at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday.
Dhoni was recently appointed the Indian skipper for the upcoming 12 ODI series at home against Australia and Pakistan after Rahul Dravid stepped down from the hot seat.
Ganguly, who was considered a strong contender for the job, applauded India's showing in the Twenty20 mega show.
"We are doing superbly well in Twenty20, we are playing like a team," he said after a strenuous work out.
On India's prospects in the semi-final against Australia on Saturday, Ganguly said, "The Aussies will be without Ricky Ponting. India have had back to back wins. The toss will be vital."
Ganguly felt the semi-finals were wide open, as only two or three overs could change the course of the match.

"It was simply extraordinary, it was something special," he said, but added that one should not forget Virender Sehwag's explosive knock in the same match.
