The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Saturday nominated former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly as the chairman of its cricket development committee.

Making the announcement after a working committee meeting, which Ganguly attended for the first time, CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya said the panel will draw up a master plan for developing and improving the game in the state.

Former Indian team players Ashok Malhotra, Pranab Roy and Arun Lal are the other members of the committee, which will also review reports of the selectors at both the junior and senior levels.
