Gayle warns about possible strike action for final ODI

Chris Gayle disclosed on Saturday that his side could boycott the final match of the ODI series in St Lucia next week as a means of protest in their dispute with the West Indies Cricket Board.

England have an added incentive to win the fourth One-day International against West Indies at Kensington Oval on Sunday.

They could escape with a drawn series if the words of West Indies captain Chris Gayle hold any truth.

Gayle disclosed on Saturday that his side could boycott the final match of the ODI series in St Lucia next week as a means of protest in their dispute with the West Indies Cricket Board.

The West Indies Players' Association were engaged in talks last week in the Barbados capital with the WICB, but the two sides has so far failed to reach an agreement.

Industrial action appeared to have been averted, when Gayle announced prior to the third ODI that things had been resolved.

But the big left-handed opener has withdrawn his comments and explained that he and the rest of the team were disappointed by what they were hearing from players' chief Dinanath Ramnarine, the former West Indies leg-spinner.
