The hosts clinched the series 3-1, Gibbs smashing 110 and AB de Villiers 84 in a total of 317 for six. Oz started positively with Brad Haddin making 78 and Michael Clarke 50 but fast bowler Steyn returned to the attack to remove captain Ricky Ponting for 53 and took three more wickets as Australia were dismissed for 256.
