Happy to see truth being revealed in Sachin's autobiography

I have read a few excerpts from Sachin Tendulkar's autobiography and I must admit that somewhere it gives satisfaction to see the truth being revealed, writes former India skipper Sourav Ganguly.

There is huge interest about Sachin Tendulkar's autobiography and I am also keen to read the book.

By the time my column sees daylight on Thursday, Sachin's book will be out and enthusiasts are waiting to lap it up. I have read a few excerpts and I must admit that somewhere it gives satisfaction to see the truth being revealed.

Only when a person goes through turmoil does one realise what it is and frankly speaking, I can relate to the incidents which happened in 2005 in Zimbabwe and thereafter. The basic note of discord between Greg Chappell and me was with regard to doing away with senior cricketers of that time, and I had to put it across strongly that it wouldn't happen that way. It was about who controlled the team.

Indian cricket has moved on, far beyond the days of Greg Chappell, and in the last few weeks there have been some mature decisions, which have made me happy. The rotation policy has been effectively used by the selectors as they rested a few big names. The opportunity given to Akshar Patel by resting R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja is praiseworthy. By giving Akshar a long run, they have created another spinning all-rounder and this lad has excellent big-match temperament.

Sri Lanka's record in Indian conditions has been ordinary and they will need to do things differently to stop the Indian juggernaut.
