The Mumbai Indians will literally have a “home” run in the Indian Premier League this season with the Sachin Tendulkar-led side ultimately playing seven of their first eight games in the city, reports HT Correspondent.

Six of them are at the Brabourne Stadium while Sunday’s game against the Deccan Chargers — an away game — will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The MI are currently topping the league standings with eight points from five matches and the way the teams are stacked up at this stage of the tournament, six points from the next three games should take them within striking distance of the knock-out phase.

It didn’t come as a surprise when Harbhajan Singh, the MI off-spinner, said his team would approach Sunday’s tie as a home game.

“We will be playing in Mumbai only. So, we will have more support than them,” he said.

“We have two more games at home before we start travelling. We will look to win them and try and ensure that we become the first team to qualify for the semifinals.”

And when Andrew Symonds is part of opposition, you can’t help but ask Bhajji about his approach towards the Australian.

“It’s just another game for me. I have played a lot against him. I am not looking at it as between me and him.”
