A three-member International Cricket Council (ICC) team inspected the progress of work at the Wankhede stadium on Monday after the sport's governing body had raised concerns over the preparations in its report last month.
The ICC team, with tournament director Ratnakar Shetty in tow, inspected the dressing rooms and anti-doping facilities among other things but did not make any comment. Shetty only said he would give his report to the ICC.
However, when asked to react to the concerns as the MCA treasurer and BCCI Chief Administrative Officer, Shetty said, "The concerns are more in the media. As far as we're concerned all the 13 venues are coming up well." Wankhede will host three matches, including the final on April 2.
Eden still lags behind
A section of the stands without chairs, incomplete hospitality boxes and the BC Roy Club House awaiting final touches are what the ICC team will see on their Eden Gardens visit on Tuesday.
