The standoff between TV channels and the International Cricket Council (ICC) continues even after a three hour long parley between news channels and the ICC.
"They (ICC) have asked us to sign an undertaking saying that the footage will not be commercialised which is not right", Annie Joseph, secretary general of News Broadcasters Association, told agencies.
Joseph said channels were following the News Access Guidelines for T-20 and one day matches.
"If the ICC had an issue they should have come before and not before the semi-finals", she said.
The world cup finals between India and Sri Lanka take place at Mumbai's Wankhade stadium on Saturday.
Information and broadcasting minister Ambika Soni had also taken up the issue with agriculture minister and ICC president Sharad Pawar after the Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
TV channels were permitted to cover the Indo-Pak world cup semifinals after ICC lifted the ban on accredited journalists from the news channels for a day, following intervention by Soni. She had written a letter to Pawar requesting him to restore the status-quo and allow the electronic media to report on the event as was the case earlier.
