Munaf captured four wickets, Pathan took three and later Dinesh Karthik (38) and Robin Uthappa (35) played unbeaten knocks to guide India home with more than 31 overs to spare.

India first shut out the West Indies for just 85 runs in 25.5 overs and then notched up the required runs (86 for one wicket) in 18.3 overs for a runaway win at the Trelawny Stadium, near Montego Bay.

The win will give the Indian team a lot of confidence ahead of their first World Cup match against Bangladesh on March 17.

West Indies captain Brian Lara was furious after the match.

"I don't want this performance again," he said.

Patel took four wickets for 10 runs in six overs and left-arm pacer Pathan snared three scalps for 25 after West Indies captain Brian Lara won the toss and asked India to bowl.

But only three batsmen — Lara (22), Ramnaresh Sarwan (13) and Dwayne Smith (13) — managed to reach double digits while 'extras' contributed 11 to the West Indies' meagre total.

Virender Sehwag and Uthappa opened the innings, but the former departed for nought when the total was six.

Karthik then joined Uthappa and the two were involved in an unbroken 80-run partnership that took the team home with a lot to spare on a sunny day.

Sourav Ganguly, who had injured his ankle at practice on Thursday, was included in the XI while Sachin Tendulkar and Sreesanth were rested.

India defeated qualifiers the Netherlands in the first warm-up match on Tuesday.

India are clubbed with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and first timers Bermuda in Group B.

The World Cup opens with the opening ceremony in Greenfields on Sunday.

Australia are the defending champions. They defeated India in the final of the 2003 World Cup in Johannesburg.
