Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and opted to bowl first in the Asia Cup Twenty20 opener against India in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Mortaza’s Indian counterpart MS Dhoni, choosing to play despite suffering a back spasm on Monbday, said the toss may not have been crucial. The wicket looked good and slightly on the softer side, he added.
India have made one change to their side. Virat Kohli, who was rested for the preceding three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka, comes into the side in place of Ajinkya Rahane.
The Asia Cup, to be held from February 24 to March 6, has been switched from the 50-over to the T20 format this year, keeping in mind the World T20 to be held in India immediately afterwards.

India will look to extend their momentum from T20 series wins against Australia and Sri Lanka and will be eager to go into the World T20 in the best possible shape. Bangladesh, buoyed by their ODI series win over India at home last year, will look to continue their strong form at home.
