The teams were greeted in traditional style after they landed by a chartered flight from Lucknow and were taken to the Usha Kiran Palace, the team hotel.

All players kept to their hotel rooms except Pakistani captain Shoaib Malik, who went straight to the Captain Roop Singh Stadium, the venue of the day-and-night match, to take a look at the pitch.

He was accompanied by coach Geoff Lawson and manager Talat Ali and Zakir Khan, chief executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Indian team manager Lalchand Rajput and bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad also checked the pitch.

India lead the five-match series 2-1.
