Fast bowler Junaid Khan has already been replaced in Pakistan's World Cup squad by Rahat Ali after the left-arm fast bowler couldn't recover from a hamstring injury.

Hafeez was injured during the second one-day international against New Zealand on Tuesday. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan says Hafeez needs at least a month to recover.

Shaharyar also says that the tour selection committee has requested left-handed opening batsman Nasir Jamshed as a replacement for Hafeez.

Shaharyar adds that Jamshed won't arrive in Australia before Pakistan's first group match against India next Sunday because the ICC will first examine Hafeez before approving Jamshed as replacement.
