Rishabh Pant struck his eighth half-century in the Indian Premier League as Delhi Daredevils took on holders Mumbai Indians in their final league game at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground on Sunday. (DD vs MI live updates)

The 20-year-old also punched Bangladesh left-arm paceman Mustafizur Rahman past point and and cut Ben Cutting for two more boundaries.
Pant’s fifth half-century of IPL 2018 came off 34 deliveries, and included four fours and two sixes. The Delhi wicketkeeper, who struck the season’s highest score of 128 not out, kept Delhi Daredevils hopes of putting up a decent total as wickets fell at the other end.
His effort was relatively slow, but he lofted Mustafizur over long on for his second six, a stunning one-handed attempt, before taking a single off the bowler to complete his fifty.

After clobbering two sixes off Hardik Pandya, Pant holed out to long on off Krunal Pandya for 64 as he became the leading run-getter for a wicketkeeper in the history of the IPL, surpassing Robin Uthappa’s mark of 660 set in the 2014 edition for Kolkata Knight Riders.
