IPL 2025, DC vs MI Highlights: It was Jasprit Bumrah’s magic which saw Mumbai Indians come out on top, beating Delhi Capitals by 12 runs in their IPL 2025 fixture, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. Chasing 206 runs, DC had a sudden collapse in the 19th over as three run-outs in the 19th over saw Ashutosh Sharma (17), Kuldeep Yadav (1) and Mohit Sharma (0) lose their wickets in an error-prone end. In the run-chase, Delhi were dealt an early blow as Deepak Chahar removed opener Jake Fraser-McGurk for a golden duck in the first ball of the opening over. But since then, Abishek Porel and Karun Nair have stitched together a partnership, which has already gone past 100 runs, and the latter has also registered a 22-ball fifty. Porel was eventually dismissed by Karn Sharma, departing for 33 off 25 balls. Then Nair tried to build a partnership with KL Rahul, but departed for 89 off 40 balls. Jasprit Bumrah struck to remove Axar Patel (9) in the 13th over and soon after that Tristan Stubbs lost his wicket too. Rahul is still unbeaten and will look to take his side past the finish line. Karn Sharma struck in the 16th over to get Rahul (15) and also his third wicket. Ashutosh failed to build a partnership with Vipraj Nigam (14), who departed in the 18th over. Then it all came crashing down in the chaotic 19th over bowled by Bumrah.

A half-century by Tilak Varma saw MI post 205/5 in 20 overs. The match began with DC skipper Axar Patel winning the toss and opting to bowl. MI openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton raced off the starting blocks early, and have began an onslaught on Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc. But the partnership ended soon as Rohit fell to Vipraj Nigam in the final delivery of the fifth over. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav removed Ryan Rickelton after the powerplay. Then, Suryakumar and Tilak Varma built a strong partnership, with the former eventually departing for 40 off 28 balls. Meanwhile, Tilak was dismissed in the final over, after smacking 59 off 33 balls. Naman Dhir (38*) remained unbeaten for MI, as they set a target of 206 runs. For DC, Nigam and Kuldeep struck twice.
