According to sources, BCCI president, Shashank Manohar, deliberated the way forward for the IPL and shared the charges levelled against Modi.

Among several issues, Cricket Association of Bengal chief, Jagmohan Dalmiya, raised questions on the money spent. “He raised a lot of points on the expenditure incurred in conducting the IPL,” a source said.

The working committee also seems to have acceded to the Mumbai Cricket Association’s plea to have IPL matches routed through respective state associations. The MCA had earlier drafted a letter seeking the change. Problems faced by the Rajasthan Royals in conducting matches at Jaipur were discussed. The Rajasthan Cricket Association had reportedly sought amendment to rules pertaining to the conduct of matches.

While the decision to scrap the Colonel Hemu Adhikari tournament was ratified, members have asked the technical committee to have a re-look at the Polly Umrigar school tournament.
