Mumbai, in particular, need a huge win as they have already lost two matches, and a loss to Bangalore will end their campaign in the Champions League. Bangalore, however, can still hope to qualify for the semis without having to look at other results if they beat Mumbai and then win their last game against the Highveld Lions. Not an impossible task for a team that has players of the calibre Mumbai boasts, but that stunning loss to South Australia must have hit their confidence a bit.

And Harbhajan Singh was probably seeking to give it a further jolt when he claimed that the Mumbai Indians have an edge over the RCB in the upcoming match. “We have played well against them in our last two IPL matches, and so I think we have an advantage over them going into this game,” said the Mumbai Indians off spinner.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore, all was going well until that loss on Friday. They will be hoping fervently for everything to fall in place against the Mumbai Indians.
