The Indian Premier League (IPL) has produced a number of moments this year where the players have shown displeasure towards the umpire’s decision and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma joined the list during their match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday.

Rohit was foxed by a straight delivery by Harry Gurney and the ball hit the Mumbai Indians skipper on the back leg. The umpire gave him out right away but Rohit was not convinced and he went for the review. The decision did not go in his way and Rohit was not happy as it was umpire’s call which proved to be the deciding factor.

While going back, Rohit had a short chat with the umpire and he knocked down the bails at the bowlers’ end too.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders batsmen fired on all cylinders to post the season’s highest total -- 232 for two.

Staring at elimination following a six-match losing streak, the embattled KKR got off to a fiery start with Shubman Gill (76) and Chris Lynn (54) putting on a 96-run opening stand, their highest this season, after Rohit Sharma opted to bowl in his 100th match as captain.

Andre Russell, KKR’s biggest impact player of the season, was finally seen higher up the order at No 3. The West Indies power-hitter ensured that KKR finished on a high with an unbeaten 80 off 40 balls.
