“We are sure he will make a huge difference to our bowling,” said a Kings XI official.

The bowlers conceded 211, the tournament's highest, against the Rajasthan Royals and Matthew Hayden and MS Dhoni smashed them the other night for 185 in 18 overs, leaving Tom Moody fuming.

The coach also pointed out how unlucky they had been. “We have had a fair share of bad luck with Sreesanth not fit to play for a major part because of back injury. VRV (Singh) was out of the game for a while because of an ankle injury. He came back fully fit but when he started to bowl well in Cape Town, he split his finger and had five stitches,” he said.

Moody is in no mood for excuses. “We are just not executing what we can with the ball. We are making too many errors on the field,” he said.
