Malik asks Siddiquis to clear matter or face legal action

The Siddiquis are now demanding that Malik divorce Ayesha so that she can get married again.

Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has given 15 days notice to the Siddiqui family of Indian Hyderabad to clear his name in the Ayesha nikah issue or face legal action for damaging his reputation.

Ayesha's father had accused Malik of having performed nikah with his daughter which the Pakistan captain has denied, claiming that the Siddiqui family was trying to dupe him.

The Siddiquis are now demanding that Malik divorce Ayesha so that she can get married again.

Malik's brother and brother-in-law are now in India to handle the case.

"Malik has left it to his brother and brother-in-law to handle the case and they are presently in India handling things in a legal way," a source close to the Pakistan skipper said.

"His brother and brother-in-law have met with legal advisers in India and they have given 15 days to the Siddiqui family to clear the matter or face damages petition," the source added.

Malik, who plays for the national Airline team in the domestic circuit did not appear in the first round which was held on Friday.
