Iyer continued his onslaught and smashed it all around the park but with the pressure of the required rate, he holed out after blasting 83 runs off just 40 balls which put the away side in a strong position with the big hitters still to come. However, they suffered an extraordinary collapse as Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur became victims of a brilliant Rashid Khan hat-trick. But, when everything seemed over, Rinku Singh stepped up and how! Kolkata smashed 31 runs off the final over to get over the line which has never happened in the history of this league.

He has pulled off a stunner here and Kolkata has won a game where they were down and out coming into the last over and after the Rashid Khan hat-trick.  They needed 29 runs in the last over and Rinku Singh managed to hit fives sixes on the last five balls to make this a special day for Kolkata.
