After receiving a set of documents on Tuesday that he had sought for in an email to BCCI secretary N Srinivasan on Monday (published in Hindustan Times on Wednesday), Modi hit back at Srinivasan on Wednesday through an email, a copy of which is with Hindustan Times.

“I have repeatedly sought your confirmation that save and except the documents supplied to me, no other document or material will be relied upon or used against me in these proceedings.

This confirmation is however still not forthcoming,” Modi wrote on Wednesday.

“Could you therefore please confirm that save and except the documents supplied to me by your communications dated 27th April, 2010; 6th May, 2010; 10th May, 2010; and 11th May, 2010 and the disclosure (if any) made in response to this letter, no other document or material will be relied upon or used against me, by the BCCI, in these proceedings.”

Srinivasan replied to Modi at 2.46 pm on Thursday. “The notice is issued on basis of the material set out in the notice and the documents which have been supplied to you,” the BCCI secretary wrote.
