Modi tweeted that the project to start the league began way back in 2010 and also posted documents related to the league. Modi allegedly posted documents included memorandum of understanding (MoU), copy of agreement and minutes of the meeting held to plan commencement of the league.

The copy of agreement posted by Modi read that it was entered on January 11, 2010 between Arab Sports Management (ASM) and Anuradha Prasad, wife of Rajeev Shukla, who was deemed an 'agent' in the agreement.
