Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former India skipper, filed a police complaint regarding the theft of his three cell phones. Dhoni told police the phones were stolen from his room at the Welcome Hotel in Dwarka, where a fire broke out on Friday morning.
The Delhi Police have said they have recovered the phones.
Dhoni, who was in the hotel with the members of the Jharkhand state cricket team, was asked to evacuate the hotel premises after the fire incident. Dhoni, in his complaint, has reportedly said he was having breakfast when the fire was reported.

Later when he went to his room, he could not find the phones. One of the stolen phones was an i Phone. The former captain has not reported theft of any other item.
DCP (south west) Surender Kumar confirmed receiving a complaint from Dhoni. “ We have registered a case and are working on it. Prima Facie, it appears the phone was stolen during the evacuation,” he said.
At the hotel in Dwarka’s sector 10, the players from Tamil Nadu state team were also present. The two teams had come to play in the Vijay Hazare trophy.
Dhoni’s lost to Bengal in the semi-finals on the tournament.
