Even as Pragyan Ojha was basking in the elation of being picked in the Test squad for Sri Lanka he was brought back to earth as his car tyre sustained a puncture when he was returning from a temple where he was offering prayers and thanksgiving for his selection.

“It’s not unusual, I normally go to temple with my mother,” Ojha told the Hindustan Times. While the 21-year-old Ojha was anxious about being stranded in the middle of busy evening traffic he was elated to be selected for the Tests and at the prospects of bowling alongside Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh.

“It is every cricketer's dream to be called up for the Test squad. It is a great feeling,” Ojha said, even as a mechanic was attending to his punctured tyre. “I think I bowled quite well in the Asia Cup. I will be staying in the Eleven if I continued to bowl well. For me, it is all about bowling well,” said Ojha.

Ojha said it was a thrilling experience representing the country at the international level. “I had a dream debut in the Asia Cup. I took some good catches. That has made me more confident,” said the tall left-arm spinner who is aiming to “grasp everything and anything that is possible” from Kumble and Harbhajan.
