Gilani told Rajapaksa that Pakistan will share information with regard to what happened to the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore once the investigations are completed, the state-run 'Daily News' reported today.

The issue came up for discussion on Tuesday in Tripoli where Rajapaksa, who is on a visit to Libya to participate at the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Al-Fateh Revolution, met Premier Gilani on the sidelines of the event.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik and the investigating officials will visit Sri Lanka in this connection, the newspaper said.

Meanwhile, an official statement in Colombo said Prime Minster Gilani stressed the need for effective dialogue between the two nations to strengthen ties and thereby pave the way to expand trade, economic and social cooperation.
