Pakistan's Gul out with hamstring tear: manager

Pakistan seamer Umar Gul was ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing second Test against England today with a torn hamstring, team manager Yawar Saeed said.

Pakistan seamer Umar Gul was ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing second Test against England on Saturday with a torn hamstring, team manager Yawar Saeed said.

First-change Gul sustained the injury while running in to bowl on the second day at Edgbaston and the 26-year-old then went for a scan at a nearby hospital.

Gul could also miss the remainder of this four-Test series.

The third Test starts at The Oval on August 18 and the series finale takes place at Lord's, commencing August 26.
