Day 4: It may have been a historic occasion for Pakistan cricket as Test cricket returned to the country after more than a decade but rain gods have been a big deterrent for both teams. No play was possible on the fourth day with umpires Richard Kettleborough and Michael Gough calling off the proceedings due to overcast conditions and poor light. Both the Pakistan and Sri Lanka teams remained in their hotel in Islamabad. Earlier, Sri Lanka opted to bat on the first day, but could only conjure up 282-6 in the Test after play getting abandoned early on all the days.
