Pakistan rode on Ahmed Shehzad’s 89 and Hasan Ali’s 2/28 to beat the World XI by 33 runs and clinch the three-game series 2-1. Pakistan beat the World XI by 20 runs in an exciting finish to the first Twenty20 match in Lahore, celebrating the return of international cricket to the country amid tight security. It was only the second time Pakistan has hosted an international match since a 2009 terror attack on the Sri Lankan team bus, also in Lahore. World XI beat Pakistan by seven wickets in the second T20 on Wednesday to force the decider.
