Ahmed Shehzad’s 89 and Hasan Ali’s splendid spell helped Pakistan beat World XI by 33 runs to win the three-match series 2-1. Sarfraz Ahmed’s men won the series opener on Monday by 20 runs, courtesy a splendid 86 by batsman Babar Azam before holding off a star-studded World XI batting line-up led by South African captain Faf du Plessis. The World XI won the second match by seven wickets to force tonight’s decider. Pakistan have not hosted top international teams ever since the attack on the Sri Lankan team in March 2009.
