It’s not coincidence but a result of hard work and planning.

“I have worked hard on my batting, though bowling is still my first choice.

That the team is performing as a cohesive unit has helped everyone to play freely,” said the spinner.

Harbhajan praised domestic players like Saurabh Tiwary, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu and R Sathish for coming good.

“As I said, performing in crunch situations has made the difference. The confidence of the team has increased and that augurs well,” he said.

Commenting on Sachin Tendulkar’s great run, Harbhajan said his presence in the Twenty20 World Cup would have made a huge difference.

“He is hitting the ball well and batting brilliantly.

“For a player of his class, he could have made it to any team but it is his decision not to play Twenty20 at the international level and we should respect it,” he said.
