Ayush Badoni

Ayush Badoni is a dynamic right-handed batter from Delhi, known for his composure, clean striking and ability to finish innings under pressure. A product of India’s U19 setup, Badoni was picked by Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 IPL auction.

He announced himself immediately on his IPL debut, smashing a 41-ball 54 against Gujarat Titans to become the first batter to score a fifty on IPL debut while batting at No. 6 or below. Since then, Badoni has grown into an integral part of the LSG batting unit, capable of contributing with occasional off-spin as well.

Since then, Badoni has been an asset to LSG, scoring 200+ runs in each of his last four seasons. His ability to accelerate quickly and play calculated attacking cricket has made him a dependable player for the franchise.

Beyond the IPL, Badoni has continued to make his mark in domestic cricket. He famously smashed 165 off just 55 balls in the Delhi Premier League in 2024, including 19 sixes, underlining the extraordinary power and range that have become hallmarks of his game.

With 1178 IPL runs already to his name, Badoni remains an important part of LSG’s long-term core and one of India’s exciting young middle-order talents.
