Right Handed Wicket Keeper

Joshua Patrick Inglis, an English-born Australian cricketer, has become a vital part of Australia's national cricket team, excelling as a wicket-keeper-batter in ODI and T20I formats. Born in Leeds, England, Inglis moved to Australia at the age of 14, where his cricketing talent blossomed. Representing Western Australia, Perth Scorchers, San Francisco Unicorns, and Punjab, Inglis has also left his mark on international cricket.

He made his first-class debut for Cricket Australia XI against the West Indians in 2015 and his List A debut against the Pakistanis in 2017. In December 2017, Inglis debuted in the Big Bash League for the Perth Scorchers, further cementing his place in domestic cricket. His maiden first-class century, a stunning 153 not out, came against South Australia in the Sheffield Shield's 2020–21 season. His prowess in T20 cricket was evident when he scored two centuries during the 2021 T20 Blast while playing for Leicestershire, including a blistering 118 not out against Worcestershire.

Inglis's maiden call-up to the Australian national team came ahead of the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, where he was part of the squad that secured victory, though he did not play in the tournament. His international debut came in February 2022 in a T20I against Sri Lanka, followed by his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in June 2022. Inglis was instrumental in Australia’s 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup triumph, contributing a valuable 58 runs off 59 balls against Sri Lanka in a critical group-stage match. Later that year, he scored his maiden T20I century, an unbeaten 110 against India in Vishakhapatnam, showcasing his skill and adaptability.

In 2024, Inglis’s form reached new heights. Named in Australia’s squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, he also played a pivotal role during the white-ball series against Scotland and England. On 6 September 2024, Inglis smashed the fastest T20I century ever by an Australian, reaching 100 off just 43 balls against Scotland. His leadership abilities were also highlighted when he filled in as captain for Pat Cummins in the third ODI against Pakistan in November 2024, marking another milestone in his remarkable career.
