The fourth match of the India-Sri Lanka series will be played at a venue where every cricketer dreams of setting foot at least once in his career and do something noteworthy.

There have been huge names that have played here and lived on with glorious memories of Eden Gardens.

The Cricket Association of Bengal is celebrating 150 years and it has been heartening to catch up with a few greats of the game and hear them recall their fond memories of Eden.

The current India team is a young bunch, lead by a young captain and all of them will be yearning to leave a mark on Thursday. Many of these cricketers have played at this ground before but to appear in India colours time and again and get recognised is a different feeling all together.

With the series already won, the motivation will be to carve out a memorable performance at a historic venue for themselves and the team.

The Indians decimated Sri Lanka in all the three matches and the islanders have looked clueless.

They are not so bad a team but the young Indians, be it in bowling or batting, have reduced the opposition to being ordinary.
