The 58-year-old Kiwi, who was in charge of the team for five years till 2005, is here to promote a scholarship in his name at the Southern Institute of Technology in Invercargill, New Zealand.

Getting back to the media glare, Wright said: "Using home advantage is fine by me. Obviously, if you go to play in Trent Bridge or Headingley at this time of the year, the ball is going to seam around. But in India, wickets are such that they offer a bit of turn by the third day and last five days. Even then, there were competitive matches. Making a wicket that's going to turn from Day 1 is not going to be good advertisement for Test cricket."
