India is likely to field a full-strength team for the limited overs series against Sri Lanka, which will be selected on Wednesday. Five ODIs and a T20 will be played in July 21 to August 7 series.

Virender Sehwag will be back after missing the Asia Cup due to fitness while Sachin Tendulkar is also likely to be available. Pace spearhead Zaheer Khan is unlikely to be picked to keep him fresh for the 10 Tests India are scheduled to play this season.

From the team that played in the Asia Cup, Irfan Pathan may lose out to Umesh Yadav. The selectors want to include Ajinkya Rahane even if Tendulkar plays.

In that case, the team might have eight specialist batsmen with Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina expected to perform the part-time bowlers' role.

Yusuf Pathan and Ravindra Jadeja might struggle to hold their places with some selectors backing Pragyan Ojha for the second spinner's slot.
