Indian bowling spearhead Ishant Sharma celebrates his 30th birthday and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to extend his wishes.
However, the tweet was a tongue-in-cheek one and one that is bound to tickle the funny bones of Indian cricket fans. We have come to associate such quirky tweets to Virender Sehwag, but Sachin’s tweet is surely few notches ahead of his one-time opening partner.
Ishant, who is currently with the Indian team in England, has been in sensational form with the ball and has looked one major threat for the England batting order, especially the left-hander. The International Cricket Council too posted a video of his spell from the 2013 Champions Trophy and wished the lanky fast-bowler.

In the ongoing Test match. Ishant became the third Indian fast-bowler to complete 250 test wickets. He is behind Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan and has looked the best in the series so far. He has looked to pitch the ball further up and this change has yielded dividends for him. India would hope he continues this form as they travel to Australia later this year.
In the 85 matches played so far in his Test career, Ishant has claimed one 10-wicket haul and eight five-wicket hauls. He made his debut back in Bangladesh and has been a consistent part of India’s Test bowling attack.
