England made one enforced change to the side that beat Bangladesh by eight wickets at Lord's on Monday, handing a Test debut to pace bowler Ajmal Shahzad. He replaced injured Yorkshire colleague Tim Bresnan, out with a foot injury. The 24-year Shahzad, who has played one Twenty20 and one-day international, became England's 650th Test match cricketer, having previously been the first British-born Asian to play for Yorkshire. England left out left-arm quick Ryan Sidebottom from their 12-man squad.

Bangladesh, as coach Jamie Siddons indicated yesterday, made two changes with seamer Shafiul Islam and left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak replacing the dropped pace bowling duo of Robiul Islam and Rubel Hossain.

Teams:

England: Andrew Strauss (capt), Alastair Cook, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Eoin Morgan, Matthew Prior (wkt), Graeme Swann, Ajmal Shahzad, James Anderson, Steven Finn.

Bangladesh: Shakib Al Hasan (capt), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Jahurul Islam, Mohammad Ashraful, Mushfiqur Rahim (wkt), Mohammad Mahmudullah, Shahadat Hossain, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam
